Do NOT do business with vmedia

Anyone looking for a less expensive internet provider in Canada, I strongly recommend that you do NOT choose VMedia. Their internet drops multiple times per day, and their methods of customer support always change, or drop, and their methods of contact disappear. Terrible Customer service

Got a speed drop last week, tried to resolve it with customers service, spent a few hours on a phone with ZERO results. Honestly, customers support agent knows nothing about the networks and acts more like a frauder. Poor customer service and lack of transparency

We were unfortunately with Vmedia for 4 years before switching to Telus. Anytime you need any help, expect to wait 1-2 hours minimum. Stay away if you want internet

Have spent over a month without internet due to a faulty modem (which I pay to rent from VMedia). They refused to replace this modem after sending 2 different Rogers techs to check it out. They said that the tech notes did not say that I needed a new modem, despite the techs telling me in person that the lines were fine and the modem was faulty. No solution was provided. No refund offered.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

VMedia is not worth the trouble. They offered me an upgrade to a service that’s still in development and wouldn’t work. Then when I asked to switch back they said my old plan no longer exists and I would have to pay more each month. Their offer for compensation was not to charge hook up fees to switch me back to my old cable service. This all happened over 5 days with hours wasted on hold.

Poor onboarding but internet stable and good value

Some advice - it's possible that you won't get a technician visit even if an automated email says so. Check with customer service (chat available) to confirm the reality. Also, if you are already on another Shaw-reseller provider, you MUST cancel the previous service (date overlap ok as long as it's pre-programmed) - but!!! make sure that you have the same person's name on your previous service as
