Iphone 17 pro max: New & Refurbished Prices in Canada

Apple

The iPhone 17 Pro Max shares most of the iPhone 17 Pro’s features in an even larger form factor. It sports a massive 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion for maximum immersion, and benefits from an expanded battery that delivers the highest battery life ever on an iPhone (up to 39 hours of video playback). Powered by the same A19 Pro chip and iOS 26 optimizations, it offers the same extraordinary performance as the 17 Pro, and its triple 48 MP camera system with 8× optical zoom is identical, ensuring equally top-tier photography and video capabilities as the smaller Pro model . The 17 Pro Max also stands out by offering higher storage options (up to 2 TB) and its XXL 6.9-inch size is aimed at users who want the largest screen possible.

Iphone 17 pro max: Full Specifications

Apple’s large-format Pro handset leans into screen size, endurance and imaging without turning into a simple oversized variant. The Iphone 17 pro max uses an aluminium unibody with Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and back, keeping a premium build while making room for a 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display at 2868 x 1320 with ProMotion up to 120Hz, Dynamic Island, Always-On support and very high outdoor brightness. Inside, the A19 Pro chip is paired with a vapour-chamber cooling system for steadier performance in demanding games, editing and long camera sessions, while storage starts at 256GB and goes as high as 2TB. Photography is a major part of the package, with three 48MP rear cameras covering wide, ultra wide and telephoto views, including 4x optical reach and 8x optical-quality zoom, plus advanced video tools such as 4K Dolby Vision, ProRes, ProRes RAW and Dual Capture. The 18MP front camera adds autofocus and Center Stage for selfies and calls. Battery life is one of its biggest strengths, rated for up to 39 hours of video playback, with fast wired charging, MagSafe and Qi2 support. It also includes 5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, USB‑C with USB 3 speeds, NFC and dual eSIM operation.

Pros

  • Huge 6.9″ ProMotion display for an immersive viewing experience, excellent for media consumption and productivity.
  • Record-breaking battery life: the Pro Max’s larger battery offers the longest usage time ever seen on an iPhone (nearly two days under moderate use)
  • Same high-performance camera setup as the iPhone 17 Pro (triple 48 MP sensors, 8× optical zoom) and the same powerful A19 Pro chip, ensuring no compromise in performance or photo/video capabilities on the larger mode.

Cons

  • very bulky device the large 6.9″ screen makes one-handed use difficult and the phone may not fit comfortably in all pockets.
  • Noticeably heavy due to its substantial aluminum chassis and big battery (can be tiring to hold for extended periods).
  • Highest price in Apple’s 2025 lineup, making it a considerable investment for those who want the biggest screen.
