Umidigi

The UMIDIGI G5 Mecha is a rugged Android phone aimed at budget buyers who want strong battery life, basic durability, and generous memory. Its 6.6-inch display, 50MP main camera, and 128GB storage make it practical for everyday use, but the HD+ panel, 4G-only connectivity, and slow charging keep it in the entry-level range.

UMIDIGI G5 Mecha: Full Specifications

Built around durability with a more stylized look than many rugged handsets, the UMIDIGI G5 Mecha combines reinforced protection with everyday smartphone basics in a relatively slim 9.9 mm body. It uses a 6.6-inch HD+ waterdrop display with a 20.15:9 aspect ratio and typical brightness rated at 400 nits, while the Unisoc T606 octa-core processor runs Android 13 for routine apps, messaging, streaming, and light multitasking. UMIDIGI pairs 128GB of storage with 8GB of RAM and support for memory expansion up to 1TB by microSD, using a shared slot that accepts either two nano-SIM cards or one nano-SIM plus a card. On the back, the phone carries a 50MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor, and the front camera is 8MP, with 1080p video recording available on both sides. A 6000mAh battery is one of its main strengths, though charging is limited to 10W over USB-C. The spec sheet also includes IP68 and IP69K resistance, MIL-STD-810G certification, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, GPS with several satellite systems, and FM radio support when headphones are connected.
