Huawei took a more compact route with the P30, giving it a slim glass and aluminium body that stays easy to handle at 149.1 x 71.36 x 7.57 mm and about 165 g. The 6.1 inch OLED display uses a 2340 x 1080 resolution and a small dewdrop notch, so the phone feels modern without becoming oversized. It is powered by the Kirin 980, paired with 128 GB of storage and either 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM depending on the version, and some variants support Huawei Nano Memory expansion. Photography is clearly a priority. The rear Leica setup combines a 40 MP main camera, a 16 MP ultra wide camera and an 8 MP telephoto camera with optical image stabilization, giving the P30 a broader range than many phones of its size. A 32 MP front camera handles selfies, and 4K video recording is supported. The 3,650 mAh battery is matched with Huawei SuperCharge for faster top ups, while everyday features include 4G LTE, Wi Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB C, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, IP53 splash resistance, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and single or dual nano SIM support depending on model.
