Pixel 6 Pro: Full Specifications

Google’s Pixel 6 Pro is a premium Android phone built around a distinctive design, with a polished alloy frame, Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and back, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Its 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display runs at a sharp 1440 x 3120 resolution and can scale up to 120 Hz, giving the phone a large, fluid screen that suits everything from streaming to photography and everyday multitasking. Inside, Google’s first-generation Tensor chip works with 12 GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, with 128 GB and 256 GB versions listed for Canada. The camera system remains one of the defining parts of the device, combining a 50 MP main camera, 12 MP ultrawide, and 48 MP telephoto with 4x optical zoom, plus an 11.1 MP front camera. Rear video goes up to 4K at 60 fps, while the selfie camera can record in 4K at 30 fps. A typical 5003 mAh battery supports fast wired charging, fast wireless charging, and Battery Share. The Pixel 6 Pro also includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, Ultra-Wideband, NFC, and dual SIM support through nano-SIM and eSIM, all in a body measuring 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm and weighing 210 g.

Pros

  • Fingerprint scanner: Fortunately, the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro include an under-display fingerprint scanner. This may be appealing to iPhone users that still prefer Touch ID over Face ID.
  • Design: The Pixel 6 phones introduce a new design from Google, with a black camera bar stretching across the back. This sleek new design truly sends the correct message: The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are unlike any previous models.

Cons

  • Price: A brand new Pixel 6 Pro starts at $1179 in Canada. Although this is a similar price to other premium Android devices, it is certainly not cheap.
  • No charger included: Although the Pixel 6 Pro boasts 30W wired charging and 23W wireless charging, you will have to purchase a charger separately.
