Built more like a job-site tool than a conventional smartphone, the Cat S62 Pro centres its design around durability and thermal imaging. Its integrated FLIR camera is the signature feature, giving the phone a practical role in inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting, while the regular 12 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera handle standard photos and video. The 5.7-inch Full HD+ display uses an 18:9 format and is designed to remain usable with gloves or wet fingers, with Gorilla Glass 6 adding extra protection. Under the rugged shell, the phone combines a Snapdragon 660 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, plus microSD expansion up to 256 GB. It launched on Android 10 and includes a rear fingerprint sensor, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, GPS support and 4G LTE connectivity. CAT also gave it a programmable key with push-to-talk mode for work-focused use. The body is IP68 rated, MIL-STD-810H certified, drop-tested to 1.8 m and water resistant to 1.5 m for up to 35 minutes. At 242 g and nearly 12 mm thick, it is substantial in the hand, but that heft matches its specialised, hard-wearing character.
